MEET THE FACULTY
DR. ROBERT ALEXANDER
Dr. Robert W. Alexander, MD, DMD, FICS is an internationally recognized aesthetic & reconstructive surgeon, author, teacher, pioneer in use of stem/stromal cells in clinical practice, and a recognized leader in the field of BIOCELLULAR REGENERATIVE MEDICINE as well as the Chief Clinical Scientific Officer with HEALEON MEDICAL. Dr. Alexander also serves on the Regulatory Committee for International Federation of Adipose Tissue Science.
Contributions in use of adipose-derived stem/stromal cells combined with high-density platelet concentrates in the areas of aesthetic surgery, open flap surgery, chronic wound therapy, and orthopaedic medicine/surgical fields are considered novel and important contributions.
Dr. Alexander graduated Magna Cum Laude with full honors from University of Florida (Gainesville) School of Medicine and St. Louis University School of Medicine and Dentistry. His early experiences in basic applied research was supported by NIH pre and post-doctoral research grants have led to multiple advances in surgery and medicine. His contributions in the areas of craniofacial trauma, reconstruction of growth and developmental congenital defects, pathology and aesthetic surgery of the head, neck and body have been recognized by his peers, including induction as a Fellow in the prestigious International College of Surgeons (FICS). Dr. Alexander was appointed Chairman of the Department of Maxillofacial/Craniofacial Surgery, University of Florida (JHEP) where he was responsible for an accredited (post-doctoral) Surgical Residency training program. Following a four year academic appointment, he returned to Seattle (WA, USA) in private and part-time academic practice. He taught multiple full year Fellowships for Board Certified or Eligible surgeons, following completion of their accredited Residency from 1990-2008. Publication of many articles in peer-reviewed medical literature, contributions to multiple textbooks, and as a featured speaker in national and international venues on the subjects of plastic surgery and regenerative medicine applications, particularly those in musculoskeletal .and orthopaedic applications (for the past decade) are well recognized.
Dr. Alexander is the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions in the areas of his primary specialty, as well as in the evolving uses of stem/stromal cells. He continues his academic affiliation with the University of WA (Seattle), and practicing/teaching the latest advances in Biocellular Regenerative treatments in plastic surgery and orthopaedic regenerative medicine. Using his scientific orientation and experiences, his wide scoped clinical surgical experiences combine to make him an acknowledged and respected expert in the areas of anti-aging and cellular therapies across multiple disciplines of medicine and surgery.
DR. JOHN LAURA
Dr. Laura lectures nationwide on laser science and aesthetics, and he instructs other medical professionals on new cutting-edge technologies and techniques.
As an expert in the field of medical aesthetics, Dr. Laura has been featured on a number of national news programs demonstrating his procedures and discussing the benefits and safety of noninvasive cosmetic enhancements.
His techniques and experience have been grown beyond the realm of noninvasive cosmetic enhancements and into the scope of regenerative medicine. As one of the first physicians in Orange County to offer regenerative cell therapies to his patients, he continues to stay on the cutting edge and increase the standard of care for his patients.
Dr. Laura is currently on the medical staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital, Newport Beach. He completed his medical residency from the University of California, Irvine where he serves on the faculty as an Associate Clinical Professor. Dr. Laura completed his Bachelors of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his Medical degree from The University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri.
DR. RANDY MOORE
Dr. Randy Moore is dedicated to shortening the learning curve for medical practitioners, medical sonographers, physician assistants and any allied health professional as they develop exprtise i Musculoskeletal Sonography.
Randy E. Moore is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Since 1994, his work has focused entirely on using diagnostic ultrasound to evaluate te musculoskeletal system. His expertise is called upon by ultrasound manufacturers (GE, Sonosite, Ultrasonix, Esaote,Terason, Phillips) and teaching institutions (National Institute of Health, Beth Israel Hospital of New York, Walter Reed, University of Dayton, University of Kentucky, Temple, and Loma Linda) throughout the United States.
Dr. Moore's book, Sonography of the Extremities, has been a "work in progress" for over 10 years. He has continually improved and updated it to demonstrate the most advanced approaches to scanning the extremities, while still defining it's scope to be one of the most "user friendly" texts available today. The book is now also available in Spanish and Korean.
Dr. Moore is currently working with doctors at a nationally renowned hospital on a companion text focused on ultrasound guided injections.
DR. KEN WILLIAMS
Dr. Ken Williams is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and Board Certified primary care physician. He primarily practices as a hair restoration surgeon and physician offering medical and surgical treatment for hair loss disorders in men and women.
Dr. Williams is involved in regenerative medical treatment procedures with stem cell therapy for hair loss. He has been practicing medicine, surgery, and cosmetic surgical care in Orange County, California since 1986.
Dr. Williams' medical and surgical hair restoration practice is dedicated to the art and science of hair surgery, integrating medical, regenerative PR, stem cell therapies, and surgical restoration in treating hair loss in men and women. He is the co-author of a major textbook in hair restoration surgery, Hair Transplant 360-FUE; and frequent llecturer and faculty in hair restoration workshops and conferences around the country.
DR. RYAN WELTER
Ryan Welter, MD, PhD is a Clinical Associate Professor at Brown University Medical School and a CEO and Medical Director of Regeneris Medical.
Dr. Welter obtained his doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Oklahoma State University and his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma. He completed his residency at Brown where he remains a clinical associate professor. Research continues to be very important to Dr. Welter, and he continues to be active in clinical trials through his research company.
In 2002, Dr. Welter founded Tristan Medical. Under his leadership, Tristan Medical has grown to be one of the largest providers of primary care, urgent care, and occupational health in Southeastern Massachusetts caring for over 70,000 patients a year.
In 2005, Dr. Welter added a successful hair transplant and restoration practice and founded the New England Center for Hair Restoration and NEhair.com. He built a state-of-the-art operating suite designed exclusively for accommodating hair transplant surgery. Hundreds upon hundreds of procedures later, Dr. Welter’s patients continue to enjoy full, natural hair where none existed before. From fuller eyebrows to complete scalp hair restoration procedures, his attention to detail and a truly artistic approach has lead to unparalleled results.
Soon after, Dr. Welter began to apply his knowledge of stem cells and cellular therapies to the field of hair restoration and had outstanding treatment results, quickly becoming internationally recognized for his techniques.
