ULTRASOUND GUIDANCE COURSE
TIRM’s Ultrasound Guidance course is led by Dr. Randy Moore. It reviews the use of ultrasound guidance to achieve optimal results with minimal surgical intervention.
Dr. Moore is dedicated to shortening the learning curve for medical practitioners, medical sonographers, physician assistants and any allied health professionals as they develop expertise in MSK sonography. With a straightforward, balanced teaching style, Dr. Moore does not over-complicate nor over-simplify the process of becoming highly skilled in MSK ultrasound.
Dr. Moore will utilize over 30 years of experience to review approaches to address an array of anatomical locations and the importance of using guidance during the diagnosis and injection phases for a musculoskeletal injury.
As with all of TIRM’s courses, the course design is intended to enhance the clinical competence and improve patient care by increasing the knowledge of benefits, limitations and risks related to non-guided injections compared to guided injections and the equipment/ techniques used to perform these procedures.
Upon completion of the activities, attendees should be able to:
Discuss the diagnosis, presentation and impact on patient outcomes.
Review the safety and efficacy of ultrasound guidance
Understand different treatment approaches for patients with various indications based on their clinical presentations.
Begin to perform guided applications with the most up-to-date protocols and techniques in their own clinical setting.
